Friendly and helpful staff. Fresh painted and clean rooms. Classic and atmospheric elevator! (Worked well). Near to great eating and huge range of shopping.

It was clean (I&'ve read bad items in reviews) and tidy. The staff was present to answer questions and also cautious about the not-so-good neighborhood south of the hotel. Toilets and showers were clean and good, although shared on the floor.

Run by very warm and friendly indian household - we had two fantastjc nights here. the elevator is far more than 80 years old - the hotel is very comfy and fabulous - great value for your money! breakfast is very basic.

Cheap and cheerful; a little scruffy round the edges but you could clearly see a really characteristic building beyond this. Also really central.

The location is good, although it is a little too close to The Tenderloin area, which can be a bit sketchy at night. Great value for the money you pay, and it&'s a great place to stay if you&'re just looking for a place to sleep for a few nights.
