The location inside the Smokey Mountains is near to several outdoor hikes, waterfalls, along with the greatest mountain in Georgia. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Enota Mountain Retreat (they call it a retreat, not a hostel) is in a amazing location. There are cooking area facilities and a refrigerator so that you can do your own cooking and store your food there if you want to. There are several waterfalls on the property and it&'s right next to National Forest Land and inside 1-2 hours hiking distance to the Appalachian Trail. You do need to have a car to get there.

Enota is in an awesome location. There's a natural waterfall, a fishing lake and several other fun and comforting things to do. There's a huge range of accomodation possibilities. We stayed in a 8 bed ensuite cabin which was excellent. The staff are pretty - really helpfully and committed to the concept of enota. All the food there is certainly all natural and fresh. Its just an all round pretty location to be!
