We loved La Casa de Teresa. We booked a double room and were given a garden apartment that had a bathroom and dining room it was lovely. The room was really clean and homely, the individuals that own the house are very nice and helpful but our favourite of all was the breakfast! Best we&'ve eaten inside the 5 weeks in South America.

Accomodation in Colonia is expensive, this hostel too. but decent clean rooms with cable TV and hot shower. only 3 rooms in total so quiet, ideal for couples or families. 20 minute walk to historic centre and bus station. minimarket 5 mins away. for the price charged, breakfast should be included. but the owner does give on request tea/coffee in mornings. kitchen poorly equipped. despite questionable value for money, we would recommend this hostel. a guaranteed good night's sleep

Nice family who are welcoming. they are happy to do your laundry washing for no extra charge and give you any info etc. only a 3 room location so nice and silent if thats what youre after. about 10 mins walk into town.

Room is small but cosy. The Ladie that runs this place is super friendly and made our stay so much more enjoyable.
