Place is nice of itself. Location is good, near the metro and on the key street. And yes, eating out in Kiev is affordable, try borsch and dumplings with spinach and cream.

Fantastic hostel! First thing, don&'t expect a raucous, big, party hostel, rather imagine a smaller and intimate place. The three lovely girls working there make the place, and each couldn&'t do enough to help everyone out. There&'s two big, spacious dorms, with comfy beds, lockers and nice touches like drying racks and rugs by each bed. The air-con is a blessing in Kiev&'s hot summer weather. The common area is excellent to hang, straightforward to meet people for an night out, and staff do nightly activities to bring the visitors today in a family-style environment. Everything is clean and modern, very good wireless and location is good, 15mins walk from Independence Sq but still with supermarkets, bars, restaurants, metro, etc, nearby. Really a nice stay, full score for this place!
