The staff are honestly some of the hottest people I&'ve ever met. I ended up spending more time with them than I did with other travellers. One of the Turkish guys who does night shift took us to the Asian side one afternoon for lunch and ordered the most awesome food. He also suggested his favourite places to eat, so as to avoid traveler food.

Good location in among the new and old parts of Istanbul. Nice view and setting in the common area. Baggage can be stored. Very good WiFi across the site. The employees are really friendly. Nice cooking area facilities. No cost coffee && tea.

The location is great! The view from the top floor rooftop is awesome - especially whilst eating yummy breakfast! The staff members are super helpful and friendly!

I had been here for holidays just before and enjoyed it immensely. they are getting greater and greater each year. i have seen much improvement on my last visit. bathrooms were upgraded, the walls were painted in different colours and the rooftop -best side of the hostel- had got a new look. also the breakfast was way greater compared to last year. atmosphere was fantastic as always :) briefly, galata west is extremely recommended!

It was the finest hostel in this cost range we&'ve ever stayed at. The staff was extremly helpful and polite, for a hostel it was extremely clean and the no cost breakfast was a lot more than you can expect. The view from the rooftop is amazing, especially at nighttime. We suggest it! Galata West is very good located, you can visit the most exciting points of interest by foot. Unlike other travellers wrote before, we didn&'t really feel unsafe at all.

It was really great to stay at Galata West. I thought I would be there for only one night but I extended my stay right after the first night and enjoyed it a lot! Fantastic setting along with employees and other guests. I had lots of fun, superb conversations on the terrace while sipping some beers and smoking shisha. Beside this hostel is really properly located, the beds are comfy and breakfast is good. I would definetely stay there again if I back to Istanbul one day.

Very friendlie Stuff, a very nice breakfast and a nice location to get together and meet individuals with a fabiolous panoramic view over istanbul (galata tower, hagia sophia, bule mosk, suleyman mosk. )

The location is awesome if you are planning to have a look at the city centre and essential parts of Istambul. The staff is simply awesome and they are always ready to help the customers. The rooftop is maybe the very best portion of the hostel simply because you can enjoy with the rest of the individuals and you can enjoy the awesome views.
