Excellent location and good value for money. Very friendly staff. They don't speak English but they are always smiling and you get a real Turkish experience!

No. The hostel makes the following incorrect statements on the HostelBookers website:"Our cafes and bars are open every day" - there is no cafe or bar in the hostel. "very well known sweet Turkish apple tea, it is free for all our guests. " - it is not free. "Meanwhile our hostel is inexpensive and clean" - This was the most expensive hostel we stayed at on our trip along with the least clean. Our toilet broke spewing filthy water all around the bathroom floor. This floor is also the shower floor, which was unpleasant. The shower was only a shower head stuck to the toilet wall, and a drain in the floor. There were bed bugs in the bed. The room was ridden with damp patches. "free hot free often drinks. like tea and coffee. " - no free drinks. "kitchen use is free" - there is no kitchen. "terrace and cafe bar" - there is no cafe barThe only great thing about the place was its location, along with the receptionist was quite nice.

Our stay was comfortable. I was a little worried about cleanliness due to the ratings but it wasn't too bad, perhaps could be a little better in the bathroom but have certainly stayed in far worse. The bedroom area was good though. There is no Internet access and we had trouble finding Internet cafes in Istanbul so this is something to be aware of if you would need it. The staff were helpful though, the water hot in the shower both eve and morning, and the breakfast was as good as any other we had in Turkey, so it was a great value place to stay compared to many in Istanbul.

A very average budget accomodiation in a quiet very good location, employees is very warm and friendly and helpfull but do not speak english - exept a few words
