We booked the Ibai hostel, but on arrival, the owner said our reservation had not been registered. He was extremely apologetic and fortunately had another room in a different hostel, which was even better and we kept to our original payment. The owner was extremely helpful and offered very good recommendations.

The owner was so nice. The staff helped us in numerous ways. 1st, we showed up at 0:10, 10 minutes past when reception closes, and they had stayed late into the night after hours to let us in when they hadn&'t even heard of us. 2nd, we easily extended our stay with them. 3rd, although they spoke only Spanish, they really tried to understand us and make us understand them. 4th, I got food poisoning one of the nights there as well as the property owner was so sweet. She made me some tea that would be outstanding for my stomach. 5th, laundry washing is ten euros but the property owner does the whole thing for you! 6th, we booked a double bed room but they gave us a huge room with a double bed, two single beds, and a balcony with a view.

The location is brilliant. Although not en suite there are plenty of bath rooms available.

The owners were lovely and even though they didn&'t speak much English, they tried really hard to convey what I needed to know. There are two Ibai locations, and I stayed at the one on San Juan. It was really pretty, clean and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it.

Great location and friendly employees (can not speak English). What we didn&'t know when we arrived was that there are two Ibai Accomodations, but they are really near to each other. We stayed at &"number 2&". The triple room was really nice, with a small balcony with a very good view. This is not a &"party-hostel&", it is well suited for older couples/friends who wish to visit San Sebastian, at the same time as for younger people.
