They had an obtainable apartment next door, so when we checked in (family of four) they upgraded us for no extra cost. The apartment was stunning and clean, and the beds are sinfully comfy. The employees were all extremely friendly and helpful. We were allowed to leave our baggage (for free) when we arrived just before check-in time, and also past check-out time for 1 euro per bag. We would stay here again without even looking for other options; it was a wonderful experience. Las camas eran incre&iblemente c&omodas. Los empleados eran todos muy amables y atentos. Cuando llegamos antes de la hora de registrarse, nos permitieron dejar nuestras maletas sin cobrar, y cuando quer&iamos quedarnos en Madrid algunas horas despu&es de la hora de salir, nos guardaron el equipaje por 1/maleta. Quedar&iamos en este sitio de nuevo sin buscar otras opciones; fue una experiencia maravillosa.

More like a hotel than a hostel! A pretty double room (I&'m sure I booked a single! ) and daily room service. It&'s in an exceptional location, less than a minute&'s walk from Puerta del Sol

The private room was much bigger than we expected. Exposed brick walls were beautiful. Completely spotless throughout. Very good wifi. 24 hour reception and they spoke Spanish and excellent English, too.

Fantastic! We were up-graded to a small apartment that was ideal for us. Even had a washing machine! Great location. Great staff. Not a party hotel for young kids, but this is Madrid and there are lots of young kids wherever you go in Madrid. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if we could have that apartment again. Thanks Hostal Madrid!
