Facilities were exactly what I wanted. It revolves around going to Kruger and not on providing entertainment. Early to bed, early to rise. Their guide Becky is informative, accomodating, enthusiastic and safe. The staff keeps the location fresh && clean. Its location near Crocodile Gate is key. I was spellbound at how close I got to elephants, zebras, rhinos, wildebeest, wild dogs, impala, baboons, giraffes, hippos, lions, a leopard, dung beetles, a chameleon, and about 2 dozen remarkable bird species.

Great rooms! Really warm and friendly staff! Awesome setting (lots of cool antique south African stuff). The owner has been to something like 30 countries. They can give you amazing suggestions about places to visit and stay in Swaziland, Mozambique, the Kruger park. Really was the best backpackers I have stayed at in South Africa, and ever for that mater.

It was the very best backbackers I have ever been too! The location is perfect to uncover the Kruger National Park! The owner is properly travelled (38 countries, only counting trips 3 weeks and more) and therefore knows the needs of backpackers. And he knows how to cook, so don&t eat out! The Kruger Park guide (Justin Barr) he suggested to us was very nice, too. During dinner we got outstanding informations about South Africa, which we used for the rest of our trip! The house is decorated very nice and we especially liked the wooden balkonies, there is certainly even a table inside the tree, where we enjoyed our breakfast. In real life it looks even greater than inside the pictures! We had a outstanding time at Kruger View Lodge and hope to be back as soon as possible!

Beautiful spot with an excellent location near Kruger park. Dave was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the park. However, the hostel does not run regular tours to the park and as I solo traveller this was detrimental to my experience. Otherwise a extremely nice place.

Me and my family liked the nice and beautyful rooms and the price was reasonable. We loved Dave and his cooking. It was nice to get a homecooked meal after a long day in the Kruger park.
