Hostel Spirit

It&'s one of those hybrids that, at least for me did not work too well: not quite a hotel and not completely a hostel. On the one hand, it has hostel basic conditions (cheap bed, basic furniture etc); on the other hand, it has none of the spirit of lively hostels. Yes, it looks artsy and special, especially from the outside but your extremely best bet is to go by, take few photos of it and then go stay somewhere else. By the way, they don&'t take credit cards, though it is not mentioned anywhere. Overall, not much Spirit and it seems like the whole operation is some kind of afterthought.

This friendly, clean and warm hostel is situated right behind the main Bratislava Railway Station. It is a 5 minute bus ride to the Old Town. The employees were lovely and spoke outstanding English. The no cost breakfast is large and full of variety. But the true reason you should stay here is the awesome building. It is unlike anywhere you have stayed before. It is Bratislava&'s Hundertwasser Haus; the property owner and designer is Slovakia&'s Gaudi. You&'ve got to stay here.

Amazing location - very nice staff, very good position close to the principal station and very good connections to the city center along with the airport. Superb price! Yet, it&'s some thing closer to an hostel than an hotel but it&'s great for young people!

Most amazing looking location I have ever stayed! the rooms were excelent value for money. we paid about 20 euros and had an ensuite, a balcony, a minifridge. and greatest of all. towels folded into swans on our beds!

An entertaining place with a lot of character. The place is a bit tired but the breakfasts were really good.

Quirky and a real find. Breakfast was superb and our one basic room in between 4 of us had two floors, 4 balconies, a computer and a bath. Absolutely brilliant hostel.
