I had a brilliant time, employees was really nice, warm and friendly and helpful, felt like home, almost didnt wanna leave. The location couldnt be much better either, close to all the key traveller attractions, and at the same time hiddenaway from all the traffic and noise. Really enjoyed Sunday no cost dinner, along with the fact that there was no cost tea and coffe, which was much needed following all the walking. I&'d recommend highly to everyone, would happily go back there again, the art work spread around the whole building is amazing, with a lot of funny notes and details that add up to the calm n happy athmosphere. There might have been the occassionmal hole in the wall, or a broken shower but who cares! overall pretty clean n tidy. oh, and quite importantly, you can leave ur backpack at reception following checking out! this is awesome, been to a few places that dont do it. in one word, excellent:-) :-) :-) :-)

Easy to get to and close to the bus station and is inside walking distance to most attractions.

The hostel has a lot of character, and is extremely laid back && comfortable. It feels cozy - not like a lot of large city hostels. Employees were warm and friendly && helpful

Friendly employees and a exceptional central location. Finding your way back after roaming around on new streets in Edinburgh is easy.

Very close to the city center, actually it is within the city center. It is probable to go by feet in each main attraction within the city center and nearby region.

It was right nearby from the train station, which was nice for us since we arrived by train, don&'t know how close it is to the airport, though. There is a bar right nearby where you can eat and get some drinks. There is a caf&e right around the corner, and they give you a discount for staying at the hostel, and they have good food. The showers on the principal floor appear to be much better (although I never actually used them), but the one by our room was all right, too. It is also very centrally located, and therefore an easy walk to almost everything, especially principal attractions. The wireless is free, although it doesn&'t work within the rooms. There is a massive cooking area and dining location where you can eat and hang out.

I loved all the artwork on the walls, it made the setting seem far more relaxed. The toilets and bathrooms were operating well and were clean and tidy. Same goes for the rooms.
