Comfortable dorm with a lot room. Kitchen and sitting area were ok. Helpful employees in general. Offered a lot of activities around Irkutsk and baikal, owner has been doing it for years apparently.

We only stayed in this hostel for one night prior to we went to Lake Baikal, but it seemed really nice. The woman who runs it is really friendly and has very good English. It&'s close to the significant streets (Lenin and Marx st) and a short taxi/tram ride from the station.

The hostel was in a central location as well as the staff were helpful. The WiFi worked well in comparison to other hostels I&'ve stayed at in Russia.

We stayed in the Ger tents with Dasha down the road from the main hostel. Dasha and her friend spoke superb English and were extremely exciting to talk to. The Ger was lovely, extremely clean and homey. We also had a wonderful &'Banyan&' Russian steam bath. The island itself is stunning.

Very central location, clean facilities, no cost Wireless and Computer but nothing special about the hostel, so that it is not an outstanding one.
