Elga&'s Punk Rock Hostel is FANTASTIC! The owners, Ella and Gabi (hence Elga&'s! ) are the loveliest people you could hope to meet as well as the hostel is fabulous. It really is 300m from the beach, the rooms are delightfully cosy and clean, there is certainly an outstanding Supermarket just across the road, the showers are hot and powerful, the cooking area is really well-equipped as well as the communcal garden region is excellent for eating and comforting in. and greatest of all there are bowls for of sweets (candy/lollies! ) at Reception and no cost cold water, tea and coffee all day long. We were slightly confused that there were no recent reviews since last year, but this is simply because Elga&'s (and most of Vama Veche) is only open among May and September, so don&'t let this put you off as this hostel really is perfect! We had a amazing 3 nights at Elga&'s and I would highly recommend this hostel to groups of backpackers, also as families and can&'t wait to go back to Vama Veche to stay again!

This spot is not a hostel, it is a hotel. I was extremely happy with my room and it had a nice feel to it. The facilities were contemporary and the employees were extremely helpful. This is really very good value!

Nice, simple individual rooms. The point is to party at night and sleep then go to the beach during the day. It's a little weekend party town. The owner was great, a really nice guy. All the staff welcomed me warmly and with smiles, which is somewhat of a rarity. Oh, and it is a hotel, not a hostel, so people come seem to come with more of a hotel mentality of, "I'm on my trip. You're on yours. " Overall, nice little place.

It is very relaxing, with very great sized PRIVATE rooms, with our own bathroom. The hostel describes itself very accuratly, just keep in mind that when it is out of season most of the town is closed, however its not a very far drive to the bigger towns around.
