Very kind people. The hostel is near from the center (the city is not too massive too. ). Net and towel free, nice breakfast.

This a recently restored hostel with a colourful Morrocan style decor, modern day bath rooms and a pretty cooking area with everything you needed fo a three course meal. (if you wanted! ) I found that some of the negative comments that have been made could be easily sorted. There were no safe lockers but the staff are happy to keep any valuables in their safe. However you have you own wardrobe and set of drawers (with coathangers) in your room. The hostel was very quiet (January) and also the individuals staying here were possibly older than average Maybe the Stannah staircase may put ome younger individuals off (I kid you not! ) The location is perfect for the old town, river and train station (Lidl opposite station for stocking up). II think it is very superb value as breakfast is included. It can be cold at night in January but the air conditoning system doubled as a heater. Overall, a superb spot to stay.

Very clean, large closets for storage, heater and comforter provided so you wont get cold. Nice breakfast offerings over the standard toast and orange juice normally offered at hostels. Outstanding value.

The facilities and design of the hostel are defintely positivies: great communal area, dining area, nice snug alcoves for chilling out, a pool table. BUT -- and it&'s a large &'but&'. (see below)
