Relaxing and my husband and I felt at home instantly. Our host was fantastic he showed he had in depth knowledge of Rotorua which really helped us. Pak n save is only a couple minuets walk from here. great standard of hygiene. Had everything we needing to cook and store our food. We had a room to ourselves which was what we booked so had no worries about leaving our stuff inside the room. For just over $100 my husband and I got a room all to ourselves and had an excellent experience with Rotorua planet backpackers.

Good location, comfortable beds, reasonably sized kitchen for cooking (although we didn&'t actually use this), friendly guy within the reception who helped out with travel advice etc.

Lady at the reception desk was nice and helpful. Other guests were friendly and not overly noisy. We were warm enough and spot was quite clean.

First of all, the guesthous is perfectly situated inside the town centre, just across the street from local i-site and terminal bus stop of intercity buses. Moreover, the cost of offered private room lodging was the cheapest i could uncover in central area. The girl at the reception was really friendly and helpful, explaind us everything we inquired immediatly at check-in.

Right next to the i-Site where a lot of buses stop so handy for that. Get a voucher for a free coffee in a local cafe and a free beer/vino/softie in a bar nearby. Rooms clean but just a topsheet so bring a sleeping bag innit.
