One of my favourite places I&'ve stayed throughout NZ. If you are looking fir a true move away from it all location this is the ideal hostel, in fact doesn&'t really feel like you&'re in a hostel but like a guest in someone&'s house. Really clean with great cooking area and cooking facilities. Free kayaks to explore the beautiful Marlborough Sounds and just a stone throw away from the Queen Charlotte Track. Darrell is an exceptional host where nothing is too much trouble and Rocky the resident dog makes the location really feel homely. Amazing stay there would suggest this to anyone who wants to be inside the heart of the Marlborough Sounds.

Room was extremely clean and the bed was made up nicely. Towels were provided for free. The location is secluded and extremely peaceful. Hot tub on site and movie room with extensive DVD collection. Greatest portion was that the Daryl, the owner of the property, was extremely nice and hospitable. Gave us a nice tour of the facilities and had a extremely pleasant, gentle demeanor.

Very near to the Charlotte track. The double room was nice and we only had to share the bathroom, cooking area and livingroom with one other couple. In case you desire to take a boat trip to another point of the track you can arrange that at the reception. We had a fantastic boattrip and walked back. We would certainly recommend this place.
