Good location, near to sea front and stores and bars. Large food marketplaces a short walk away. TV in double room. There was a balcony to eat and drink on. Car parks close by. One is free right after 5pm and also the other was fairly cheap.

This hostel was in a amazing location! Right beside the bus stop and library, right across from the museum, information center and shopping mall, and had a pretty view straight out to the wind wand and sea right from the rooftop deck! There are piles and piles of restaurants, stores and cafes inside the area, and several grocery stores within a 15 minute walk. My room was spacious and clean. The hostel was comfy and welcoming due to it&'s smaller size. The furnishings are a bit dated, but it makes the hostel feel like a well-loved summer cabin. The staff was helpful and friendly, along with the kitchen had everything you could need. I would completely recommend this hostel. I would even recommend travellers go to New Plymouth specifically due to the fact of this hostel.

The employees were super helpful! Let me lock up my stuff for free, lent me a bike, free towels and fantastic advice for where to go and what to see! The furniture is retro and the so are the carpets BUT hey, it gives the place character.

Excellent location within effortless walking distance to everything there is certainly to do there and about a 3 minute walk to all bus services to other parts of the north island.
