The atmosphere-I felt like at home. The living space (kitchen, dining and lounge) is beautiful, very cozy, clean, you can walk around in socks. The main fireplace and specially a sitting area around is even much better than in my parents holiday house. Neither of rooms is too huge or too small. You really feel like in a country home as it is. I was there in winter so heating and warmth of spaces is very important, and i have no complains about it. Periods of bad weather can be passed by playing pull or wathing films. I especially liked older ski/board VHS movies. Or you can read books, play board/card games or play pool. Two pleasent suprises which are critical for skiers: 1) the &"tuning shed&" exactly where you can repair/wax/sharpen your skiis on your own in case you have the skill to save serious bucks and 2) small 1-2 person sauna exactly where you can relax and regenerate after a hard day skiing. I was fortunate to meet similar &"fanatics&" who made my stay quite enjoyable. Final verdict: 5 star budget accomodation.

Great and warm and friendly staff! even gave me a no cost ride to a different city exactly where I had to catch my bus! very cosy with the fire places and stuff!

The hosts are lovely and the lounge-room with the huge fireplace was really cosy. We really enjoyed our time at this Lodge and looking towards stay there again.

The owner of this hostel was very friendly and was kind enough to give us an alarm call at 6am to catch our balloon ride. . . awesome!
