It is a small hotel that is run like a family. The hotel is clean and in outstanding condition, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is really outstanding as properly as the staff are all really helpful.

I loved this property, the first person that checked us in was an amazing guy and literally told us everything we need to look out for in the city and beware of. The location was extremely clean and breakfast in the morning was amazing!

Facilities were great right in the centre of dam with a really brief walk to town less than 2 mins to the centre. The employees of the liberty hotel were extremely accommodating and friendly. i would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a low cost, high standard accommodation in the dam

The setting here was amazing, we loved our stay and I have been recommending the spot to friends! We all said we&'d like to go back! It reminded me of being in a uni house. Everyone was so chilled and helpful and friendly and nice. There was a kitchen/ dining room which we were able to hang out in any time of the day or night. The employees were really friendly and went out of their way to help us. They were great at replying to emails beforehand, and were really kind to supply us an extra mattress for a friend we originally thought wouldn&'t be able to come. Even Molly the dog was lovely! We were given a key to the hotel so could come and go whenever we pleased. Breakfast was cooked whenever we wanted it. We were lucky that the weather was fantastic whilst we stayed and so we ate it on a table on the street by the canal- fantastic experience, watching the globe go by and chatting to other hostellers! The hotel is in a exceptional spot too; overlooking a canal and simple walking distance to most places we wanted to go. Had a brilliant stay :D

The employees at Liberty Hotel during our stay were very helpful. Straight upon arrival we was being given suggestions on exactly where and what to do. You create a one on one friendship with the people who work at the hotel as they have a open kitchen/dining room very much like a home, so you really feel at home as well Always pleased to help when they are in the Hotel and ask any inquiries 5 minute walk from central station

I need to preface my comments by saying I&'ve been to Amsterdam over 6 times now, this one being the 7th. Soon after staying in all different parts of Amsterdam, Liberty Hotel is EXACTLY what I wanted. I didn&'t desire to stay near the red light nor the traveller areas, I wanted to stay in a hotel/hostel close to a canal that is on a quiet street (straat) and rather straightforward to get to Centraal Station without having to take a tram. Liberty Hotel is exactly that! I walked home late during the night time without having to dodge street peddlers and had some of the greatest &'markets&' near by (frommage + brood). The employees (Kim) was extremely welcoming upon my arrival. Great communication prior to my arrival, enough for me to set arrangements for my buddy who was travelling on his own to check into my room to leave his bags and helped us coordinate my arrival (my friend would return to the hotel when I checked in). Kim was awesome, he took care of everything and I felt ever so lucky that he was willing to make us breakfast, talk about a major plus, and by breakfast I mean eggs and bacon afterall he is a chef by trade! The property itself is your standard hostel feel, bunk beds, sink inside your own room, some closet space, shower/toilet within the hallway, your own entrance key, and a lounge exactly where breakfast is served. This is a no-frills type of property, meaning the basics to lay your head. Linens, pillowcases, pillows, and blankets were provided. I had brought my own towel with me but I believe you can purchase/rent one from Liberty. They are currently going through renovations with new floors being installed, it&'s looking very nice and up to date like a new property with a traditional dutch layout. We were fortunate enough to get the first floor room which we kept our door open towards the lounge area, not a lot of people used the lounge so we made it our living space by keeping the doors open. I don&'t know how much more I can say about this hotel, it has a hostel really feel but it&'s clearly a hotel. I would totally suggest it to anyone travelling to the dam, who doesn&'t desire to pay hotel prices. I would put this property at the HOSTEL pricing with EUROPEAN HOTEL AMENITIES. When I think about it more, it actually felt more like my own apartment. Some days I found myself sleeping in and hanging out within the lounge that has these magnificent large windows facing the canal, I caught myself reflecting as if I was living in Amsterdam it felt extremely like &'home&'.

Was exactly what you would expect from a hostel. The service and location was amazing. 5 star!
