I like this place. It&'s basically just a home where they&'ve stuffed a whole load of beds in a room. Nice environment and superb location one block from the principal street, ten minute walk from the bus station. Dora, the lady who runs the place, is lovely. They have a hammock and numerous pretty cats.

Garden of Peace As the title suggests Palapas Tulum is the location to stay if you want some time to decompress and recharge. I, like many others who have left a review, stayed longer than planned because, well, the location just felt very very good on my being. In fact I found the garden so therapeutic I spent much of my time lazing inside the hammock. Yes, it is rustic, but lovely nonetheless, along with the operators, Dora and Pedro, are serving from their hearts. In fact at one point I was not feeling so nicely and Dora went out of her way to help me with some effective alternative therapies. I extremely recommend a stay. Not only is it all of the above, but it is so close to everything whilst feeling away from it all. It is a special little location and there are definitely very good beings seen and unseen hanging out in that garden. :)

Nothing! i&'ve never seen absolutely nothing like that in my whole life! absolutely crazy that a spot like this could possibly be called and classificated as hostel!

First of all, the location of this hostel is great. It is tucked right off of the principal road in Tulum, making it near to everything yet not right inside the open. It is a extremely private area, as no one from the outside street can see in. The moment you enter the gate, you are encompassed by a tropical garden with banana and almond trees, hibiscus blooming overhead and butterflies coming and going as they please. Although this hostel is small, the character is huge. the owners are some of the most honest and caring individuals I have ever known to run a Hostel. For the protection of their guests, they do not accept any walk-ins- they strictly take reservations made online or sometime in advance. They are also extremely knowlegdable in regards to the area, the costs and activities to pass the time. Additionally, among the two of them, are efficient in more than 4 languages, this is a huge demonstrationof their commitment to customer service. They are also caring of the environment, growing as much as they can in their gardens and having a cat sanctuary as a lot of cats are mistreated in Mexico. I&'m not sure how a lot of they have, but they are all clean, warm and friendly and well fed! Tulum is beautiful, and in case you are looking for a secure location to lay your head, this hostel is definatley a fantastic choice. For the money, it really is a gem!

The spot is extremely close to the bus station in center of Tulum, I found it extremely comfortable, extremely nice breakfast in the country side surrounding housing. You wake up with the sound of nature and birds, and also the relationship is extremely great value for money. The employees is extremely friendly, Dora and Pierre are excellent hosts, extremely welcoming, I felt immediately at home.
