Highlight is the great breakfast. Finest to think of this as a B&&B rather than a hostel. as far as somewhere to sleep and somewhere to have breakfast for excellent value, then Le Gite del Sol is a great place to be. Also liked the fact that maintence needs were being dealt with, and little improvements here and there were being initiated by the owner.

Amazing value for money! We shared a double room, which was spacious, private and really nicely decorated. The breakfast is AMAZING - they have a menu with 4 choices to select from each and every day which is included. The owners are also super helpful with advice. As a tip, book ongoing bus tickets with them as they sell advance tickets which are cheaper. Great place, extended twice!

Great employees and facilities. The rooms are clean and warm. This was by far the greatest hostel in this cost range in San Cristobol!

Clean, clean, clean! Great kitchen with lots of cookware. Great employees and an attentive owner, very good value for what you pay. Breakfast presents protein food as an option. There really is no going wrong here. I liked it so much I booked a second night. You can buy onward bus tickets at the hostel too, really convenient. Little stores close by for food and beer, nice neighborhood.

The owners and staff were really helpful and friendly, breakfast was a nice treat in contrast to &"continental&", ample with coffee refills. Beautiful terraces with ample attractions of the area. Merci, gracias, Denis y Adriana.

Probabblyl the original property is great. But they put me in a plaacce down the road with the same name which is like a garage. Bad internet. Not clean The women cleaned but the place needs a complete makeover. Griut grross, old sheets, employees look unhappy. THE garage door and car at entrance and no one there at desk. . lousy web Minimalist kitchen at best. You have to walk a block to the original place to get basic breakfast. I think its the busy season but I did research and also the eenergy and place has changed. Theres lots of fun hostels everywhere.

Good location. Excellent breakfast included, possibly the top i have ever had in a hostel, usually you only get stale bread and condiments, this was a full cooked breakfast. Owner was really helpful and friendly but not pushy at all. Enjoyed a few noiseless drinks on the terrace but only ahead of going out. Also really cheap, cheapest private room we got inside the whole of mexico and in a exceptional location too.

Great location, amazing owners and cleaners! Although there was a language barrier, the owner Denny speaks fluent english and goes out of his way to help. They even offer wake up calls for breakfast and early departures. We booked 3 nights but ended up staying 11. They give you fresh towels everyday, and change your sheets! It&'s high quality hotel but run as a hostel. The inclusive breakfast was amazing! You can also book low-cost tours and bus tickets from the hostel. MARK && LAURA AUSTRALIA 2012
