Hostel with superb points of interest from the Terrace and room&'s balcony. The breakfast is amazing, typical Mexican dishes which brightens the mornings. The location is a good 20 minute walk from the center, but a lovely walk. Often clean, and the new bottle of water each morning was wonderful. I stayed in a single room, and they made my bed each day, also as make sure my room was clean. The dorms look extremely comfortable as well, with massive lockers If you are not used to sleeping with dogs barking close by, bring earplugs, as the neighbor&'s dogs do a bit of it at night.

What an great property! It&'s like you&'ve been invited into a household home. The breakfast is amazing, and cooked for you, and when you ask for a *little* more, you end up with another full serve! Yes. there are stairs, but don&'t let that turn you off, you can often take a break if you run out of breath.

-When arriving immediatley got upgraded to a private room from a dorm for free as it was quite empty! -Friendly, family run hostel with a fantastic breakfast! Also unexpectedly remarkable views from the room. -They do extra things like do your laundry and provide drinking water

Everything! It&'s a beautiful home full of nice little touches, and the owners are incredibly nice individuals who will help you in any way possible. The breakfast was the very best breakfast we&'ve ever had, even when compared with full blown restaurant breakfasts! Irente (Dante&s mom) is one of the most kind and generous human beings we&'ve ever encountered. We often stayed talking with her after breakfast for hours! The whole spot is just magical!

Very nice even warm atmosphere! Excellent view over Guanajuato from the terrace on the roof, which is a very beautiful city. A must seen on your journey around mexico! The breakfast was awesome. Really nice individuals at the hostel I had a nice time there.

Our room was spacious, charming and spotless, with a really comfortable bed. Although it was next to the kitchen, we did not experience any noise from other guests. The employees provided a map and were really helpful with directions, how to take the bus, things to see and do, etc. The gentleman who checked us in spoke English really well. The other employees we met spoke only Spanish, but were also really helpful and patient with our own restricted Spanish. The breakfasts were excellent, the really best meals we had in Guanajuato. They were also quite ample. The cook seemed willing to prepare just about anything we wanted if we didn&'t care for what was offered--- but that was never a problem. Everything was delicious. The cooking area was really clean. We did not hesitate to eat the fruits and vegetables or drink the fresh juices, and we did not experience any stomach upsets. The cook and her helper were so pleasant to visit with.

Absolutely remarkable Hostel. Honestly one of THE BEST that I have ever stayed in and that is certainly no exaggeration. It was clean, safe secure, the employees were lovely and really helpful and genuinely wanted to create your stay as good as possible. Inside the mornings (8am - 10am) you are treated to a full breakfast (Mexican or Western i. e. eggs) which is included in the room price. There is also no cost drinking water outside of your room. The whole place was really nicely and tastefully decorated. The Hostel is at the Eastern end of Ave. Juarez &'stip&' just past the Jardin Escondido, around 15 mins walk from the central Zocalo &'Jardin&' area, and up various flight of stairs - quite a few which is perhaps the only thing which detracts from the hostel but anyone who is reasonably fit will have no issues lol! Due to being perched on the side of the hill, the points of interest over Guanajuata from the large roof-terrace, which includes Barbeque and sunbathing, region were just sublime particularly at night. The rooms are decorated brilliantly and really clean with lots of space for belongings in large lock-able cupboards. Warm water is provided throughout the day for showers etc of which there are a lot of so no need to queue in the mornings! From what I saw of the private rooms, again, I would without question stay here with a partner a lot more so than in a hotel to take advantage of the wonderful hostel vibe and meet other ppl etc. Honestly, stay here!
