Our stay was just for one night as a stop-over in between flights. We arranged airport pickup and return by the guesthouse. This was exceptional value at &xa3;7. 50 each way and the car was really smart. It said &"Taxi&" on it but actually the driver ended up being the owner&'s son and they operate as taxis and island guides during the daytime. We were greeted by the property owner and the guesthouse seems to be the family house but with guest rooms and a common room for guests, with a micro wave and tea and coffee making facilities. The room we stayed in was really clean and comfortable, with numerous benefits: air conditioner unit, ensuite shower, basin and toilet, no cost safe, bottle of water, tv. Breakfast was included in the price, but we did not expect it, since we needed to leave for the airport at 5. 30 in the morning. However the property owner and his wife provided an appealing breakfast of french bread, butter, jam, bananas, pineapple, cream cheese portions, fruit juice and selection of tea or coffee as well as home-made indian snacks. What could have been a souless overnight stay was made into a really pleasant expertise by such hospitable and personalised lodging and hosts.

Location : center of town, great bus connection to airport, reasonable bus service to blue bay beach, reasonably priced in-house taxi cab transfer to airport if needed. Roof rooftop for the opulent breakfast and relaxed viewing of river and town. Nice owners and personnel.

A traveller residence which meets nicely for the budget traveler. Convenient location from SSR International Airport and easy walking distance to the Mahebourg Bus Station, Waterfront, Restaurants and CyberCafe. Rooms were clean, air con and reputable showers were a huge asset, as was the decent collection to DVD movies and books. The rooftop breakfast, with a wonderful view, was included and although easy was tasty and appreciated.

Great for a brief stopover in Mauritius - close to both the airport as properly as the completely stunning blue bay beach. Extremely warm and friendly staff and a yummy breakfast too!
