I turned up fairly late last night, but first impressions count. The staff here are fantastic - friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the hostel itself has a certain ragged charm, a rugged beauty. The shower certainly emitted water, be it fairly minimally, but still enough to have a wash. I have no qualms with staying on for a couple a lot more nights, then making this my base as I uncover Borneo.

The Hostel is a good place to stay for budget-traveller. It's simple but clean and friendly. Don't miss the pub downstairs, running by a Iban Peter John.

My room was kind of dumpy and the sheet on the bed was filthy. There wasn't even a top sheet so I had to use my jacket as a blanket. It was quite embarrassing when I brought a girl back to my room. Hey I am not going to let the quality of the room stop me from getting laid. :)
