Everything the hostel has a lovely wood burning stove so the lounge is always really warm. Beds have privacy certains. Fantastic atmosphere. Location great inside easy reach of city centre and bus and rail station. Employees delightful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Ready to give advice/tips. Already had breakfast ready at 8 although usually start off at 9, so was outstanding as wanted to leave early.

I&'ve stayed at Shanti 1 three times inside the last five years and there is certainly a reason I return again and again; it&'s quite simply a brilliant hostel. Comfortable rooms, warm and friendly staff, excellent location, value for money and a fine breakfast too are some of the crucial elements that underlines Shanti&'s credentials as the top and most favored hostel in Skopje. If you&'re heading to Macedonia&'s capital Shanti must be your choice.

This is the second time I have stayed at Shanti and I loved it even a lot more this time. The staff make this hostel what it is, often there to help you with whatever you need. Petar even put up a hammock chair for me (they had one last year but took it down because it rained). The public areas are really comfortable and great to chill and meet fellow travellers. The free breakfast is great and you can use the kitchen in case you desire to cook other things. One thing i really liked about the hostel is that all the beds have curtains round them for privacy, which i havent seen in any other hostel. Overall i really like it here and will definitely return for a third visit.

Everything! The hostel staff gave us beer and wine one night and just hung out with us. They gave us great reviews and the privacy curtains were such a exceptional notion for hostels!

Brilliant staff! No cost shot, free breakfast, went above and beyond the call of duty! Good price, comfy really feel with sofas and guitar and chillin courtyard and dorms with balconies. amazing!
