If you&'re following a special Laos experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is the place. It&'s great! Superb rooms, employees are terrific, the location is magical. Forget all the negative comments you&'ve read. You&'re staying in the bush, naturally there&'s going to be bugs. I&'ve possibly seen less bugs here then in other Lao backpackers.

The property is nicely located thous little further from the mai town. but is nice comforting place. the property owner BARNABY IS TRYING TO OFFER ALL THE ASSISTANCE TO MAKE THE STAY COMFORTABLE. NO COMMENTS

Thus location was fantastic! We really didn&'t want to leave! The location is lovely - right on the river. Lots of character as you eat on a floating restaurant, swim inside the river and sleep in a wooden cabin overlooking the river and gardens! The staff are amazing. they are always around to help and will do anything for you. The location is remote but right after the hustle and bustle of Vientiane city, this location is just what we needed. Its so comforting and tranquil. Everywhere is clean and well kept. There are lots of things on offer you there - from tubing, trekking to a remote temple, swiming, massage, spa, net access, lying in a hammock. the list goes on! Everyone is trustworthy and you really feel secure with them. The rates are possibly higher than a basic hotel inside the city but for what you experience, I would gladly of paid more!

It's a lovely place. Chose this if you want time for yourself, relax and chill out. It's wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay.

How long have you got! I loved everything about the place, except maybe for the ants and also the mozzies which come with the package when you're staying inside the jungle. If you're feeling in need to escape the travelers in Vientiane and have some much needed chill-out time, this is the spot to come. I booked 3 nights and ended up staying 8 (and I'm planning on returning on my way back down south). The staff are lovely, the food is delicious, the setting is best right by the river, the pool and river are excellent enjoyable to cool off in, the Beer Laos is in plentiful supply. By the time I left I felt like component of the family and I had to force myself to leave. I've only been gone 21 hours and I miss the spot already. :-(

I spent a few hours talking with the new owner, Barnaby, and he has some very good ideas for making a very good ecolodge even better. The 29km drive to the lodge is very far, and also the local tuk tuks and taxi cab cabs are easily confused. The $20 arranged pickup by the lodge is properly worth the money. The food on site is also fantastic.
