The staff were real helpful and friendly. the watazen ryokan also has a sento which can be used to relax and enjoy. all of the facilities were clean. however, the price seemed a little too high compared to other establishments with the same features. nevertheless, i'd still recommend this ryokan to kyoto travellers.

The ryokan type is one thing Europeans and north-central-south americans should discover. The Watazen Ryokan is absolutly a must for a quality time. Traditional breakfasts are worth exploring and quite enjoyable. Employees are triple As. I will miss the place !

Great location - just 2 mins by walking from teramachi. near to numerous convenience stores. Fantastic traditional japanese atmosphere. Conditioned air in summer(! )Plenty of things.
