The building is clean along with the facilities are great! The couple running the location are enchanting and extremely friendly. They went out of their way to create us feel welcome and comfortable and recommended several places to go and see. One of the nicest hostels I have stayed at.

This place is amazing. its like having your own flat in kyoto. it is a short walk from a subway station but the distance from down-town kyoto has A LOT of appeal. it is remarkable value and having stayed in other places elsewhere in kyoto this is by far the best

Kyoto Backpackers hostel is amazing for people who are in Kyoto to see the city. The hostel is extremely reasonable priced. The employees (owners) are really nice and helpful! It is not situated in the city centre but it is only 4 stops away by subway. This is not a place for people who wanna party and come back at night. For other travellers who want to save money this is the ideal choice. There is wireless net in rooms as nicely as the rooms are big.
