Hostel Little Asia Kagoshima

This hostel was extremely cheap! The dorms were fine. the beds were pretty uncomfortable. the cooking area was very tiny. there were only two toilets and one shower for everyone to share! But, if you only plan to stay in Kagoshima for a night or two, this place would be fine. Its in an outstanding location, very near to the JR station.

The hostel was not very clean, especially the bathroom, The location is quite good. The dorm drom is quite packed and there's not a lot of space to place your luggage. The staff are friendly, but are not able to speak a word of English so don't expect to be able to communicate in English ;-)The value for money is not bad, but not that great either. My second stay in Kagoshima was better value for money, if you that mind to stay in a capsule hotel ;-)

It was cheap, but not nice. We tried to stay in the hostel as little as possible, which makes you spend much more on food and drinks in cafe and restaurants.

This place was great. affordable. awesome staff. they eat dinner together at night. free internet. kagoshima is a amazing place. they suggested some amazing places to eat. you should eat kurobuta.

The location is fairly good, given that it is quite near Kagoshima Chuo Station. The staff are extremely kind, and it has a extremely laid back attitude. For the price, it is extremely reasonable. I particularly like that you can use a rental bicycle from the hostel for free. However, I do not suggest staying for a lot more than one or two nights. You won&'t get much sleep here, even if you stay in a private room. The close proximity to Kagoshima Chuo Station results in many trains going by, loudly, even late during the night or early within the morning. Because of the peaceful atmosphere, some of the rules are not strictly enforced. Therefore, it is common to hear individuals conversing loudly within the free space or back patio. Furthermore, the beds are quite hard (basically a wooden board with a thin mat on top). It would be easier to sleep if there was a second mat/cushion. I spoke to other visitors who agreed with this opinion. Otherwise, it isn&'t such a bad deal for a place to sleep.
