The hotel manager was absolutely charming. He did everything he could to accommodate my needs especially regarding having a safe in the room. He supplied all sort of information I needed: nearest supermarket (cheap one), bus timetables, where I could get a good deal on the beach as the beaches nearby were private (which I didn't know and was a big surprise), he gave leaflats on all sort of activities going on in Viareggio, he would chat to us everymorning what was nice and gave me an opportunity to learn some Italian.

Hostel situated centrally in resort. Both bedding and towels of high cleanliness. Breakfast more than adequate. Owner very helpful and polite as were rest of the staff.
