Everything was perfect: from the cleanliness of the room until the kindness of the property owner Alessandro. The breakfast was delicious and diversified. The hotel is inside the centre of Palermo, close to the Norman Palace and the principal attractions. At the end of our stay we wanted to cancel one night the day before and he accepted our request without saying nothing. He even advised us a extremely nice B&&&B in Trapani. At the end of our stay, he offered us a tasty apple pie to thank us. We definitely recommend this place.

We have stayed in B&&B Porta di Castro for 6 nights and will be back next time in Palermo for sure ! It&'s a really welcoming family-run hotel close to the main historical buildings, a fantastic food market, most of the city buses and also the train to the airport. On arrival, we got a map of the city and good tips on how to get around Palermo. Breakfasts are merely outstanding with hot croissants, fresh fruit salad specially made for us, and more. The spot is an old house stylishly redecorated by the owners who managed to keep the soul of the building whilst adding a modern day touch here and there, giving it comfort, light and a special something you can&'t uncover anywhere else. We had a kitchen in the room to cook the fresh food from the Ballaro market.

The property had lots of charm and character, and was located on a picturesque hilltop with panoramic views of the sea. The staff were helpful in providing sightseeing tips and a hearty breakfast each morning.

Wonderful building - used to be a church. Fantastic staff, nice food, awesome room! We only paid &xa3;25/person/night and basically got an appartment: double room, twin room, bathroom, kitchen! It was just the right size for a B&&B too. They reccommend a restaurant a 5 minute walk away called Al Vincula which is AMAZING. The menus make it look quite unprofessional as they are not too clear or well presented but the food is PHENOMENAL for very low prices. We also got a less expensive taxi cab service to the airport from booking through the B&&B.

It was a ownderful B&&B. Extremely hlpful and warm and friendly staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable. They had a map and guide ready for us as soon as we arrived and gave advice on resturants. The apartment was big, clean and best for what we wanted. Breakfast was fantastic and varied as properly as the location was suitable for walking around the city. We would definitely recommend this B&&B to anyone and would stay again ourselves.

It&'s a really unique property. The room itself was beautiful with some exposed brickwork and a vaulted ceiling, it was spacious too but lacked a window.

A really, really nice hostel to stay with awsome and helpful stuff. i would really suggest it! if u travel to palermo, stay there! u won&t regret it! Die Unterkunft, die Herzlichkeit und der Service ist nicht zu &ubertreffen. V&ollig irre! Erstens: Zwar kostete die Nacht im Doppelzimmer 30 Euro p/P, aber das Zimmer ist ein Traum, gro&s, super bequemes Doppelbett, eigenes Bad (auch gro&s), kleine eigene K&uche, K&uhlschrank, tip top sauber und und und. Zweitens: Die beiden Jungs, die den Laden betreuen sind an Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit nicht zu &ubertreffen. man denkt, es gibt keinen anderen, um den sie sich zu k&ummern haben. ein irres fr&uhst&uck, frisch gepresster o-saft, viel obst, aufschnitt. vom feinsten! dazu gibts den ganzen tag getr&anke (coke, coke light, fanta, wasser. ) frei. die ganzen kleinigkeiten kann ich gar nicht alle aufschreiben! drittens: gesamteindruck und lage spitze! dazu richtig gute tipps f&ur restaurants (g&unstig und tolles essen). also, wenn palermo, dann dort :-)

Great location near to the attractions of the old town. Good rooms with a large breakfast included inside the morning. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly and helpful. The property owner talked us through a map of the city and marked all of the main sights. He also suggested places to eat each night. When we asked which bus to get for the catacombs he drove us there in his car. Exceptional B&&B- huge recommendation.

The rooms are very modern, clean, but nonetheless have a nice, authentic, Sicilian feel to them. Numerous locks secured safe feeling. Location is very good and accessible to down-town Palermo. I&'d recommend this for a Bed and Breakfast seeker.
