Neighborhood seemed to have lots of children, and they locked the main gate at 8pm, so it seemed pretty safe

I had to stay in Milan for a test along with the hostel room which was private was very comfy and noiseless to study. The individuals running the hostel even offered me food, they were very welcoming and kind. It was in a superb location but a bit of a walk from the metro.

Very friendly staff, spoke very good English, welcoming, helpful. Loved the Saturday market, totally overbought fruit and veges! Very close to metro system direct to Centrale / Duomo /San Donato markets etc, suburban rail, bus, tram network, food markets etc. Also enjoyed the extremely unusual location and social enterprise aspect - a refreshing change. Plus I met some fantastic new roommates too. Cooking facilities and bath rooms were modest but better than some reviews suggest. For an experienced, open-minded travller, this is an outstanding wee find.

I needed a place to find peace and I must say that here is just fine, people are nice and the other tourists as well, the place is very special, full of history, charm and snow! I suggest it to those traveling on your own or with friends!

It makes you really feel as at home. Cleanliness in rooms and bathrooms. Nice common areas with internet and books available. Lovely employees treatment, indicating with detail all of the spots to visit. Just 5 minutes walking from the metro. If I ever go back to Milan, I will definitely go back to OstellOlinda!
