As we were delighted to write inside the Visitors&' Comments volume at the Villa San Gennariello at the end of our (too short! ) three-day stay: We (my wife and I) have lived for some ten years in Italy, over the past fifty years, and so we&'ve experienced LOTS of varying living arrangements (school settings, our own rental apartments, etc. ): We have never been so much impressed with a place, with the quality of meals, and -- above all -- with a degree of warm hospitality that we found at the S. G. : an utterly breathtakingly stunning setting (lovingly revived and renovated 18th cent. royal &&"hunting lodge&&" [&&"pheasant house, &&" in fact], filled yet not crowded with art works, artifacts, historic documents; utterly comfy furnishings (bed, chairs, sofas, desks. ); completely functioning &&"utilities&&" (from the air conditioner to the large, spotless, contemporary private bathroom, abundant hot water; royal, varying breakfasts -- as well as the same, for the evening meals that we opted at last minute to enjoy (after being so impressed with the first of them; but above all, the genuine sense of household hospitality (not inside the least intrusive, but &&"ready-at-hand&&" when one wished): we enjoyed conversation (in Italian and/or English and/or French! ) with other guests but also with our fantastic hosts (Signora Cozzi [Emma], and her fantastic son and husband (Francesco, Domenico -- Di Fraia, by household name). We can not wait until our next stay, and have already shared our enthusiasm with a lot of other household and friends.

Excelent hospitality and accomodation. The rooms are huge as nicely as the employees is adorable. I would recommend this B&B to any couple without regrets. The spot is an old and extremely beautifull palace, nicely decorated and conserved. I took some nice pictures of the spot as well.

It was a lovely Home, Francesco and also the other members of the employees are all top notch! I Highly recomend this location to any that are thinking of visting Pomeii or Herculeum. Only difficulty was finding the location it is hard to locate. Once there it is a enchanted location to be.

It's an oasis of calm in the midst of chaotic Naples/Ercolano. The B&B is a lovely, spacious mansion with beautiful gardens. It's close to Mount Vesuvius, the ruins of Herculaneum, Naples (and its excellent archeological museum), and Pompeii.

This location was awesome : beautiful villa, nice garden, large & cozy bedroom and bathroom, good breakfast, friendly host. Along with the location was best to visit Herculanum, Pompei and Naples (by train, or car).

The hostel is located in an awesome scenario and it&'s ideal as a starting point to discover Herculaneum or the surrounding area, plus people from the employees are super nice and very friendly, we had a really pleasant stay.
