I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were large and clean, breakfast was delicious. Communication was done in my extremely very bad italian, but it was far better for the staff, they&'re not really great on English, which is fine by me. I think you can ask for directions and some basic information with anybody in any language, you don&'t have to know it.

Because of the volcano cloud, our travel plans were altered. We arrived early in the morning by night train, 8 hours following our scheduled time. We called the hotel to let them know. The hotel let us check in early (at 7:30 am) and fed us breakfast. We were not charged for the extra time in the hotel. The location is great! The room was large and clean, with our own bathroom! The breakfast was wonderful!
