The atmosphere and familiarity are extra ordinary and the volunteers made everybody staying there have a great time! Right after four nights I am even sad to leave, not a lot of hostels make you really feel like home.

The hostel had a great, homely atmosphere, with a large kitchen that made it straightforward to meet other visitors, and was close to the high street, i. e. pubs, so I spent an evening with other travellers. The employees (Lucy and Fergus) were really warm and friendly and personal. It takes 15-20 mins to walk to the train station. Facilities were good, with locked showers, and Wireless IN ROOMS. There was a preference to pay in cash, though by card was possible. They also provide free printing.

Once you found the hostel (quite far from the train/bus station) it was close to all of the tourist attractions in Kilkenny.

Beds were unbelievably comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Wireless was awesome. I really liked the lockboxes bolted to the floor under the beds. Only a 5 minute walk from the main streets.
