Once in a life time chance to stay in an authentic &'fit for a maharaja&' haveli within the fort in Jaisalmer, a complete time warp within the greatest way! Oozing atmosphere, small and personal! Book the Maharaja suite, a highlight of hotel experiences!

Lovely haveli, well renewed and they upgraded us to a far more expensive room at no extra expense as it was available. The original room was pretty but had no fan or A/C so mosquitoes and heat and so on would have been a problem

This location literally is a palace. Although it is small (only 4 rooms) once in your room you feel like royalty. It is a real step back into the history of Jaisalmer.

The staff were so amazingly helpful. I had lost baggage in Delhi and they went out of there way to help me, making phone calls on my behalf and acting as a translator - So excellent that I managed to get my baggage found! They let me use the net for free and it was a excellent connection. They upgraded me at no cost to a much better room. They gave me an Indian dress to wear as all I had were the clothes on me. The room was so clean and amazing. I have no hesitation recommending this location and I would definitely stay again. I really trust these individuals and I think they would do just about anything for you.

The staff was very helpful and generous. We arrived very early on an overnight train, and they had a driver awaiting us who sped us to the hotel&'s door. We were given a room to relax in while our room became ready and then helped move our stuff to the new room - all with a smile and some masala chai tea. Our departure was on an evening train the next day, and again they made sure that we were able to relax while waiting. Very, very friendly.

The rooms are gorgeous in this hotel and make you feel like you are staying somewhere extremely grand (note there arent the typical luxuries such as tvs but the character of the rooms a lot more than makes up for this), attractions are excellent. The hotel is run by a family who are extremely helpful as are the staff. We arrived at 6am and were allowed to check in early at no extra charge and were given free of charge breakfast. also has restaurant outside forte which serves very good food. other jaisaimlerGood restaurant at foot of forte called ganpati, worth awaiting the food, which is homemade and extremely reasonable. Inside the forte on the same street as shreenath palace hotel is a very good italian restaurant serving outstanding pizzas - also reasonable. Excellent ice cream parlour on gandesh road (on way to gandesh lake) in most guide books serving various icecreams and drinks, v cheap and clean.
