Happy and helpful staff went the extra mile to create sure we enjoyed our time not just at the homestay, but the whole region with advice, recommendations and bookings. The cost was very exceptional value for money too.

This home stay in the middle of Fort Cochin is fantastic. Location is outstanding - Chinese fishing nets are a 5-10 minute walk away and there are a lot of nice looking eating places right on the doorstep but we never ate at them because the food at Padikkal is so good && well priced we couldn&'t resist eating there each and every night. We were supposed to stay 2 days but stayed 4 and if we didn&'t have travelling to do we could have stayed much longer. The owner, Sushil organised a trip on the backwaters and really helped us with our onward travel plans, even booking a train for us that we needed a few days following we left. The rooms are clean && spacious, we had non AC but the fan was a lot more than sufficient even on hot days. Sushil is a really cool guy && we could talk to him for hours, he even gave us a lift to a bar we wanted to go to. I can&'t recommend this location enough, there is no reason not to stay here.

I liked very little about this property. We were only there for one night so we found the location of the place excellent to see what we wanted to see in the area. The property itself seemed old and welcoming.

Young men at the reception was really helpfull. Arranged all our tours & shows. Hostel owner & his wife really great for arranging early breakfast. Hostel breakfast is recommended.

This hostel is great! The employees are fantastic, it is run by a lovely family and we had an incredible stay, they were very helpful and had a great choice of info regarding Cochin and surronding areas. It is in an incredible location. The Indian breakfast was very great and great value for money.
