For a wonderful experience, you have to book a private room. We had the cheep mixed one, which wasn&'t that fun. The breakfast looked delicious. But again, that was only included for the private rooms. Otherwise, the hostel looks really nice.

The extremely best thing is the people. I met like 4 or 5 front desk guys and everyone was just so nice. They gave a little extra each time, just like all icelanders. Also, you can book tours and arrange pickups to the airport and suck with them.

Very low-cost (10 euro/dorm), no cost wifi, kitchen (not so clean though, but that&'s also the responsibility of fellow travelers who should do their dishes and clean up soon after usage), Really massive refrigerator with boxes where you can store your food. Handy spot to start or end your trip and have rented a car: near to the road to the airport and no cost parking.

This hostel was excellent. The food is great, the staff are extremely friendly, and also the facilities on supply are in exceptional condition. A caution about the reviews: Whilst it is true that the hostel is out of the way, it is not impossible to reach the heart of Reykjavik with relative ease. There&'s a bus station just a short walk towards the Perlan building, and for 350kr. you can get into town on line 18, no problem. In case you can&'t be bothered, there&'s a gas station with a subway five mins away, for the hungry.

I stayed for 3 nights, 2 in a private room upstairs and 1 in a 4 person dorm downstairs. I think it is one of the better values in Reykjavik.
