The Food was great and house cooked by grandma. The lounge was as cool and relaxed as one could get, along with the scenery is outstanding, but there was not much to do in the Winter months. It offered no kind of entertainment if you happened to be stuck in doors along with the basic rooms were small and pokey (albeit cosey and well maintained). There were No games, TV or other activities to do, but they did have no cost wireless internet which is only accessable in certain areas of the hotel.

A quite location just outside of Reykjavik, ideal if you have a car, if not then tour operators will do pick ups and drop offs, so not really a problem. Most rooms have a view over the lake, and are nicely decorated with a Mexican theme. Good home cooked food at a reasonable price. Ideal if you desire to enjoy the country side location, with access to the city and day tours.
