Budapest Centrum Hostel

The hostel is in an superb location; only about a 5-10 minute walk to the metro, and super close to the Parliament building, restaurants and supermarkets. When we arrived we were told the visitors inside the original room we&'d booked had stayed extra nights so we couldn&'t have that room, but we were up-graded for free to a large apartment on the floor above; 3 single beds, a kitchen (complete with fridge-freezer, cooker, dishwasher and kitchenware) and a bathroom. The whole spot was really clean and properly maintained. Alex (the owner) was fantastic. He was very useful and gave us lots of tips and info of what to do and had discounted metro tickets too! He had superb restaurant suggestions and he even told us about his own travelling adventures. It was superb to see him making an effort with the guests, some thing which we found a few of the other hostels in our trip lacked. We were properly looked following and felt cozy and at home throughout our whole stay. We definitely suggest this hostel and we will certainly be returning if we take a look at Budapest again!

The hostel was great, especially due to the fact Alex, the host, is extremely very friendly and helpful. Listen to his advice and you&'ll have a fantastic time in Budapest! We were 3 individuals and got a free update to our own apartement which was extremely clean and nice, with a cooking area and a bathroom and two bed rooms and it was just awesome!

Alex was really helpful and had some excellent advice. There is certainly no real common room so possibly not suggested for solo travellers looking to meet people but we were a group and we were more than happy with the place. We stayed in a 4 person apartment along with the stairs going up felt like they came from some movie coz they were ridiculously steep. Cool location and would stay again.

The location is amazing and so central to everything. Alex is such a warm and friendly and caring host he acted as out second dad, anything we wanted he could give us! The rooms were very comfy and clean. I would recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Budapest as it is such outstanding value. The host Alex was absolutely fantatsic and helpful. The location was central to all of the significant tourist areas, and not a long walk from the central nightlife. The rooms were fantastic value for money.

Alex, the owner, was incredibly helpful with anything we needed and you could tell he really cares and loves the city and wants you to enjoy it to the fullest. He had plenty of suggestions for museums, bars, clubs, restaurants, sites, everything. The hostel was clean, and felt homely. In all it is superb value for money and so much much better and personal than much larger hostels

The host, Alex, was really warm and friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. He also helped us relax by showing us a great location to get dinner and taking us to play frisbee, which was a great bit of fun after a 7 hour train ride. The location is nice and central so everything is inside walking distance. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Budapest.

The host was really helpful and friendly. The location made travelling around easy. The rooms were all nice and clean. We had a noiseless and peaceful stay. There were plenty of hair dryers and other products to use!

Very calm setting and clean bright rooms with a lot of space. Our room for 5 individuals has no bunk beds which was ideal. Provide of breakfast inside the morning was really helpful especially the first morning following a late arrival the previous night. Alex the property owner is really warm and friendly and helpful.
