Hotel Alma is a budget backpackers dream in case you need a night out of a hostel but don't wish to break the bank. You get all the luxuries of any other hotel, bed sheets, towels, balcony, air con, the only catch is everything is that little bit much more run down, which is actually kind of funny as its sooo old. It's very very near to the station which is so handy and also the area is active during the day.

Excellent location on Omonia Square, still a quiet street for good sleeping. Clean place, great for the price we paid in June - less than 20 Euro's a night. Free internet, (including laptop docks), always a bonus. Only 14 Euros for 2 people to get to the airport from metro right by the hostel. Excellent restaurant at the foot of the hotel - try it - Neon, or some name like that.

Weird location, didn't look safe but actually was not that bad. Grumpy old man at the reception was not very friendly but from my experience it was an average. Good thing was that it took only 10mins by walk to the centre of Plaka. Generally position of this hostel is advantage but as i said location looks rubbish. NOT bad for short stay, worth that money.

Very convenient for a cheap easy stopover. Building is a bit outdated, but very clean and everything in the room worked. Don't forget the free internet which is not 'advertised' at the hotel - it's in the lounge on the mezzanine floor.

Good location. clean, your own shower, air conditioning, free internet computers. Wireless wasn't working when we came. Good overall, and very close to Omonia metro stop.
