Very nice located in Hamburg&'s nicest area; St. Pauli. Other attractions in Hamburg can be visited easily by foot or metro. A no nonsense reasonably priced sleepover spot at an awesome spot.

The staff were often friendly and accommodating. A varied choice of both local and international beverages along with competitive prices. The location it was situated in was near to all the local points of interest and was a safe environment.

The person at the reception, (who I assumed to be the owner, was extremely kind and even gave me his owner&'s spot in front of the hotel to park my car for free! The neighborhood is really interesting with many hip restaurants, bars and shops.

Hotel Altan has a helpful staff and delivers what it promises. The low costs and best location close to Reeperbahn and Schulterblatt makes it best for young people who want to sample the Hamburger nightlife. I would consider coming back for another stay.
