The environment is REALLY cool. The employees is super helpful and kind.
Customer Review
Aloha is not like a lot if places we&'ve stayed in, it had a &"family of travellers&" setting with a lot of people that have been there for months along with the employees live there and hang out with the guests. The cooking area is great but usually dirty. Biscuits and other points are accessible all the time. They seem pretty flexible. The employees are extremely helpful, nice and fun. We had an incredible time.

I was planning on passing through Berlin, booked 3 nights at aloha, ended up staying for almost 4 months and even working there. It was the extremely best party hostel ive ever been to, the people were like family, great social environment - made lots of friends there ill never forget, fell in adore with the girl im with today, in fact everyone seemed to be hooking up. Something to remember in case you are considering aloha, and i cant stress this enough, is that it is a party hostel! -meaning in case you are planning on socializing, hanging out inside the common room and doing a bit of drinking, then go. but in case you want somewhere noiseless to read a book alone then dont bother. That being said, it wasnt an overwhelming party environment, it generally had a pretty chilled basic going vibe. Individuals drank and hung out inside the common room every night of the week, but it tended to get most lively on weekends. The small size of the hostel (probably averages 50 guests if i remember correctly) makes it a little more intimate so everyone gets to know eachother more quickly. Ideal for people travelling solo who want to meet people along the way. The only people i saw not enjoying themselves there, were the sightseers who came for the price, but wanted isolation and silence. Wombats was right next door to aloha, In case you are interested in a party hostel and are considering wombats, they have an great rooftop bar with extremely exceptional drink rates compared to other pubs inside the neighborhood and an awesome view. We used to go there to drink sometimes, but the hostel is HUGE, i would imagine that as a guest there are far too numerous guests to get to know anyone. Other points worth mentioning about aloha would be that it had no cost (although laggy) wifi, a computer room, i spent lots of time inside the movie room which has a projector to hook your laptop up to at the same time as a dvd collection/player, the cooking area had pretty exceptional ammenities and no cost communal food, and needless to say the common room was often a great place to drink, listen to music, and talk to people. The night shop downstairs was convenient, but in case you want to save money REWE and Netto grocery stores are a few blocks away exactly where you can get a sternberg on sale for 28 cents.

This was my 2nd time in Aloha and it keeps beeing -for me- what the word &"hostel&" stands for: cool and helpful staff, knowledge of the city and activities in it, great wave of the others hosts, great range of services. For me is one of the most effective hostels I&'ve ever stayed, I&'ll keep recommending Aloha to everyone I know that is certainly going to Berlin. Keep it in that way!
