Martin couldn&'t have been a much better host; he was still awake to let us in when we arrived right after midnight, and took us on walk to the nearby Pont Du Gard - definitely worth a look! We were supplied with an ample breakfast each morning. The hostel is also situated inside the fabulous village of Vers, and only a 30ish min walk from the town of Castillon which boasts some impressive views.

A amazing location to take time out from a hectic travel schedule. Martin was an exceptional host and made himself offered to take us on a walk to the Pont du Gard. The village of Vers had both history and character and we could easily have spent another two days there.

Martin and Monique made our stay in Vers extremely pleasant. The accommodation is a quaint ancient home right inside the middle of the village with one of those massive green doors that open to reveal a nice private courtyard and stairs leading to the dining room and bedrooms. Our genial host Martin offered to take us on a walk of the ruins of the aqueduct from the village to the Pont Du Gard. We accepted obviously and after a delightful breakfast of French bakery fare and fresh coffee we set off. Martin responds enthusiastically to all manner of inquiries on the history of the location and the surrounds. The accommodation was a great base for exploration and we purposely timed our stay to make the Saturday morning market at Uzes that is properly recommended by many.

The little village of Vers is quaint and tranquil. Absolutely hire their bicycles and ride to Pont Du Gard, the Castillion or if you&'re feeling adventurous, go to Uzes. There&'s a huge marketplace on Saturday mornings. There is a quiet bicycle route with lots of stunning country side to see along the way, also as the Haribo factory! It&'s a bit of a trek if you don&'t have a car, but for a restful and calm getaway, it&'s nicely worth it. You can take a bus from Nimes or Avignon. (Sunday services are very restricted though. ) Martin and Monique are a pretty couple who ensured a amazing stay. The BNB is super clean and nicely maintained. Would love to come back again!

Our host Martin was really warm and friendly and helpful. It is in a small but really exciting historic village. We were taken by Martin on a beautiful walk through the garrigue following remnants of the aqueduct leading to the Ponte Du Gard which was awesome when we reached it, (so high).

Very kind and friendly hosts - Martin showed us the back way to walk to the Pont du Gard, along the old Roman aquaduct, and we got to play with the sweet new baby kittens. Beautifully kept and peaceful rooms, amazing breakfast
