I felt secure along with the common room was a very good place to relax with fellow travellers. The beds were comfortable along with the building was extremely clean. Great for foreign visitors simply because the rooms had historical info included.

It was extremely thoughtfully set up. Personal night lights, properly designed bunk beds. A lovely, properly equipped and imaculate kitchen. The staff were warm and friendly and helpful. It is possibly the top hostel I have stayed in.

Beautiful old 1800s house, completely carpeted nicely furbished and equipped. 6 bed dorm had comfortable 2 high bunk beds. Nearby toilets, showers, basins. Large comunal lounge, with TV, Laptop, small Library, games and kids toys. Large windows overlooking back garden with 3 large tents available. Reception and cleaning employees very friendly and helpful. Did not eat in Dining Room or have prepared breakfasts, but told - Really good!. Self help Cooking area comprehensively equipped. Everything I personally needed. Didn&'t use Laundry, but also told outstanding by lady with 2 kids. Loved it! So stayed extra 2 days. Then got my Daughter, son-in-law && 2 teen grand daughters to come from Hertfordshire to fetch me, so I could show them around (with permission readily granted) Their first go to to a YHA Hostel. All very impressed. Daughter had been && g. daughters are presently boarders at colleges! Then took them to see Herne Bay nearby, where I had spent many summer holidays as a child, from dob. 1930 to 1948. YES I AM 81! and first hostelled in the U. K. and Europe in 1954, then in South Africa untill getting married in 1962. Wife, who I met hostelling, then later with babies arriving, we switched to Caravaning! End of story! Regards - John Tilley
