Excellent value accomodation during the Labour Party conference. Four walls, a roof, a bed, a toilet, a shower for less than &xa3;40 per night, perfect. Excellent to see that this place didn&'t resort to extortionate costs unlike other competitors. No cost wireless as nicely was a useful bonus albeit intermittent. Extremely easy to locate and close to all necessary local facilities.

The Old Palace Guest Home has a brilliantly cosy, quaint and inviting atmosphere which makes you really feel instantly at home. Though small in size the guest home was nonetheless completely noiseless throughout the night, despite our stay being over the weekend. The bed within the Double Deluxe room (no. 4) was awesome - the mattress was like sleeping on a giant marshmallow and made it difficult to resist falling straight to sleep at night. The rooms were also readily equip with everything you&'d need, including tea and coffee making facilities which really makes a difference first thing within the morning! And also the employees were really pretty and eager to help with any problems including offering hairdryers within the morning and letting us stash our bags away right after checkout whilst we explored town prior to our evening train journey home.
