Martha, Ruben and Augustin are fantastic. Their house is inside walking distance of Habana Vieja on one side and Vedado on the other. And walking is definitely the very best way to see Habana. Augustin cooks a amazing breakfast, and in case you request, they can make you food for any meal you might like. They were super friendly and helpful and made our time with them very pleasant indeed. They have a amazing tax-driver friend called Rudolpho who was really very good for when we needed a taxi. I would highly recommend staying at Casa Martha. Thank you Martha, Ruben && Augustin!

Casa Martha is about 20 minute walking from Habana Vieja (Old Town). Some might dislike this, but we liked being away from the touristy portion (with overpriced cafes and cigar touts) among real Cubans on a normal residential street (these streets are so full of character and charm). Several long-termers were staying at Case Martha whilst we were there, which must says something about the place. The owners were, of course, super friendly and helpful as everywhere in Cuba.

The property was beautiful! Huge high ceilings, typical Havana gem. The house is also really near to the main tourist areas without being smothered by other visitors - essential in my mind. Marta and her brother were extremely warm and friendly and helpful, I would go back in a minute!
