If you&'re looking for somewhere silent this place is ideal. I had a private single room, which was clean, comfortable and properly laid out. This is a flat, with no reception or baggage storage, but it costs less than 2 (15kn) to leave baggage for the day at the station if, like me, you&'re catching a night train. The woman who met me to check me in was extremely helpful, almost certainly far more so than anywhere I&'ve been for giving advice and guidance on exactly where to go/what to see in Zagreb. Her recommendation for exactly where to eat was spot on, good food at a good price. Free washing machine, just provide your own soap, and an outdoor airer on the small balcony. Bath not just shower for those missing baths!

This concept is extremely interesting: this hostel is actually a kind of *very nice* flat exactly where you rent a room. I thought it was super clean and felt really at home. You will have to provide your arrival time and someone will be there to greet you at that time (no reception). During this nice introduction to your new accommodation, you will get a map of Zagreb and all the good places to go (Zagreb is extremely cool, by the way! ). Oh - and there is certainly a automatic washer inside the bathroom (bring your own soap and you can wash your filthy traveller clothes for free! ).

Convenient location! (Just FYI, we got from the hostel to train station by cab with 250kunas. Don&'t get cheated by cab drivers) v spacious and clean and cozy :) employees was extremely helpful and hospitable as well!

I stayed here with a female friend back in November. The property was run by a lady called Sonja who I contacted with a few inquiries ahead of we travelled, she was really helpful on our email exchange (even made sure I was taking warm clothes! :) ) and extremely responsive so was looking towards the stay. She was actually at the hostel so we met and gave us a map of the area and the wireless key. The actual hostel is inside a larger home so you have to take a few flights of stairs to get there (for those with large suitcases it&'s a workout! ). The hostel is not massive so we didn&'t have swarms of people often around and the time of year it was fairly quiet. Our twin room was huge and full of rich wooden flooring and drawers wardrobes so a lot of storage, so much so we had a mini library with some interesting looking books, the beds were comfortable, there was a desk which we used for make up :), wireless worked in the room too. The bathroom was clean with bath option but we used it for shower as it was sooo cold because of the time of year so maybe some heating there would be good. The hostel was spotless which I am often quite a stickler for so I was extremely happy! and even though it wasn&'t a contemporary hostel seemed to be extremely nicely maintained. The other travellers seemed to be extremely respectful with the noises and cleanness of the communal areas Kitchen/Bathroom which was also good. The property is on a hill but nearer the bottom of it so you go up an incline but so it&'s a 5 minute walk (if that) to the shops and high street/trams stops so loved the location. As it was off the main road we felt safe walking around the area and getting in and out of the hostel too. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was very good. Its just up the road from Britanski Trg which is at one end of the main road and has a marketplace and tram stop. Theres lots of shops close by and it only takes a few mins to walk right into the middle of Zagreb. Its easy to get to the train station either by walking or taking the tram. Its a little bit difficult to uncover but when you get to the right house number then there are signs inside. When we arrived Sonja, the owner, gave us a map and went through lots of points to do whilst we were in Zagreb and how to get there i. e. bus/tram, which was very useful. The room was very massive and nicely looked after. The shared bathroom and cooking area were clean and WiFi was provided. Overall we had nice stay for the short time we were there and Sonja was really helpful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for low price lodging in Zagreb
