This hostel was amazing, definitely one of the really best places I stayed at during my six weeks of travel. Igor and also the employees were so welcoming and so cool and I felt fully safe and comfortable during my stay. There were a few other solo travellers at Mali Mrak when I was there and we all connected immediately, bonding whilst drinking wine inside the backyard area. This hostel was a wonderful place to meet people and I can&'t imagine staying anywhere else in Zagreb; I definitely will recommend this place to anyone who plans on travelling here. I walked from the bus station and didn&'t think it was an outrageously long walk. If you take the tram you can get to the hostel in like 10 minutes so don&'t be worried that its a bit out of the way. Definitely worth the tram ride :)

Mali Mrak is one of the top hostels i have ever stayed in, employees are super nice and super helpfull, the setting is really peaceful - especially simply because of the fantastic backyard region where you can sit outside all day and night. There are three food marketplaces in variety of a brief walk (3min tops) along with the hostel has a nice kitchen, where two people can cook very comfortably. The tramstation to the citycenter is less than 5 minutes by foot and there are 3 trams that go into the city 24/7. I would definitly go there again.

You can see from the design of the hostel, that the nights you spend here will be inspiring for a lifetime. The individuals running the hostel are loving their travellers (or if not, they are really outstanding at pretending ;) ) and in return the individuals we met here just absorbed the friendly, open && FREE setting of the place. It has an awesome backyard, that just calls for drinking, playing and chatting together.

It was a really very nice hostel and good hosting. We are travellers with my friend, and it was one of the extremely best lodging since the beginning of our trip. People were really friendly, helpful and hospitable. It is not inside the city center but it is not a massive problem simply because it takes 10 minutes by tram to go to the centre. Wish we could stay more.

The hostel is relatively cheap. Accepts pets. Accepts credit cards. We were able to park our cars in the yard of the house (not much space though).
