In general we would recommend rooms tomic. It&'s only 5 minutes foot walk from the Riva. We had two rooms, of which one was a twin, the other a double. The double room was very small, humid and stinky. The twin bedroom was fine. So ask for a huge twiin bedroom in the corner or even far better one with balcony.

Rooms Tomic is more like a 3 star hotel than a hostel. It had everything we could have asked for though, ie it was clean, very good hot water, outstanding location (about 15 mins walk from ferryboat and bus terminal), (5 mins walk to very good restaurants, net and laundrette and money exchange), comfortable beds, comfy really feel and very good air conditioning, and about a 10 min walk to the Diocletian Palace (centre of town). Like I said though, it is more of a hotel than a hostel, so not the best for meeting other travellers, but a extremely comfortable place to stay and get a very good nights sleep, would definitely suggest if thats what youre after.
